Sending SMS to NTC, Ncell and Smart Telecom numbers

One account sends to Nepal Telecom (NTC), Ncell and Smart Telecom numbers. You can put numbers from all three networks in one list and send once, without sorting them by network. Recipients are 10-digit Nepali mobile numbers, and numbers written with a +977 or 977 prefix are normalized before sending.

Can I send SMS to all three Nepali networks from one account?

Yes. One account reaches Nepal Telecom (NTC), Ncell and Smart Telecom subscribers, from the dashboard or the API. You buy credit once and use it for numbers on any of the three networks. Bulk campaigns, OTP codes and account alerts all go through the same account, with the same statuses and reports.

Do I need to sort my contact list by network?

No. Put every number in one list and send once. You do not need to work out which network each customer uses, so this guide does not list number prefixes by network. What matters is that each entry is a 10-digit Nepali mobile number. Remove landline numbers and duplicates before you send.

What number format should I use for Nepali mobile numbers?

Use 10-digit Nepali mobile numbers. Numbers written with +977 or 977 in front are normalized before sending, so you do not need to strip the country code by hand. Remove spaces or dashes your spreadsheet may add, and delete duplicate rows so one person does not receive the same message twice.

Do delivery reports work the same on every network?

Yes. Every message on NTC, Ncell or Smart Telecom carries a status: QUEUED, SENT, DELIVERED, UNDELIVERED or FAILED. You read them in one dashboard or through one API, and a signed webhook can be posted to your callback URL on delivered or failed. Credits for a failed message are refunded on any network.

How do I send to a mixed list through the API?

Put up to 1,000 recipients in one request, in any mix of NTC, Ncell and Smart Telecom numbers, and make up to 120 requests per minute. Add an idempotency key so a retried request is sent exactly once, and keep the batch id that comes back with the 202 response to match statuses later.

Questions people also ask

Can I send to numbers outside Nepal?
