What happens after I press send on a bulk SMS?
The platform accepts your list and message, queues each message and hands it to the recipient's mobile network. Every message then carries a status. It starts as QUEUED, moves to SENT, and ends as DELIVERED, UNDELIVERED or FAILED. You can follow those statuses in the dashboard or read them through the API.
Through the API, a send request returns 202 with a batch id and the cost of the send. The sending itself happens in the background, so your software does not wait for every message to go out.
Which mobile networks can I reach with bulk SMS in Nepal?
One account sends to Nepal Telecom (NTC), Ncell and Smart Telecom numbers. You do not need separate accounts or separate lists per network. Recipients are 10-digit Nepali mobile numbers, and numbers written with a +977 or 977 prefix are normalized before sending, so a list copied from different sources still works.
What do I need before I can send bulk SMS?
Every account completes KYC with personal or business documents. Sending is enabled after a reviewer approves it, usually within 2 to 3 business days. For the first 7 days after approval an account can send up to 50 SMS a day, and only to numbers verified by OTP. Plan large campaigns after that week.
Approval adds free credit for testing: 5 SMS for a personal account and 10 SMS for an organization.
How is bulk SMS charged?
One message segment sent to one recipient uses one credit. A short English message is one segment, while long or Nepali messages use more. The rate per credit is set by monthly volume, from NPR 0.90 down to NPR 0.60, before 13% VAT. There is no monthly fee, no setup fee and no contract.
Should I send bulk SMS from the dashboard or the API?
Use the dashboard when a person writes and sends notices or campaigns by hand. Use the REST API when your own software sends messages, such as OTP codes, order updates or fee reminders. The API takes up to 1,000 recipients per request and up to 120 requests per minute, with one API key in a header.
